Introduction:
The cities of Arlington, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth and the Trinity River Authority and Upper Trinity River Authority have all added ozone to their surface water treatment processes. All are experiencing the multiple benefits ozone provides including:
Disinfection
Taste and Odor improvement
Reduced chemical coagulant usage
Reduction or elimination of powered activated carbon (PAC)
Reduction in chlorinated disinfection byproducts (THM/THAAs)
With this many water treatment plants in operation this conference has added a special "Operations Forum/Workshop to the program. Click below for more details.
The conference will also focus on commercial and industrial ozone use. Ozone, an environmentally friendly oxidizing biocide can be used by businesses in place of many hazardous chemicals with defined production, product quality and operational benefits and return on investment. There will be a special Forum on the emerging use of ozone in Agriculture and food processing.
